Alex Alpharaoh is a multi-disciplined, award-winning performance and teaching artist from Los Angeles, CA.  For Stay Connected L.A., he hosted a 6 week, 24-hour intensive workshop that focused on the multi-faceted aspects of spoken word and performance poetry as tools for educating and empowering participants in relation to COVID-19.  By analyzing and educating participants regarding all things related to COVID-19, individuals had an opportunity to empower, express, and perform what they learned about COVID-19. Throughout the workshop, individuals created performance poetry rooted in guidelines and confirmed education about COVID-19 that were shared with their respective communities in the form of performance.

Upcoming pieces of their work will be posted soon.
